In industries like pharmaceutical, these are used to granulate and blend medicated powders. Apart from these, the blenders are also used in food, chemical and cosmetic industries as well.

Salient features are as follows :

• the static balance of the cone avoids excessive load on the gear box and motor
• the conical shape is given at both ends, to ensure uniform mixing and easy discharge
• paddle types baffles can be provided on the shaft for better mixing, depending upon the product
• the powder can be loaded into the cone through a wide opening and can be discharged through a slide valve or a mucon valve
• flame proof motor can be supplied as optional
• contact parts are either made of ss 304 or 316
